Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR)

Hydrogenated Nitrile (HNBR) is a synthetic polymer. It has the properties of anti-wear, anti-corrosion, anti-pull, anti-tear, anti-oxygen and compression deformation, and is suitable for use in detergents such as dishwashing liquid.

Chemical structure

HNBR is obtained by saturating the double bonds in the butadiene segments with hydrogen, and it is also known as Highly Saturated Nitrile (HSN). This particular hydrogenation process greatly reduces the double bond in the main chain of the NBR polymer

Main purpose of use

Used to seal rings in air conditioners and automobile engines in R1340A refrigeration systems
